LG Prada Phone

The LG Prada Phone functions with a smart touchscreen technology that requires a human touch and not a stylus. The touchscreen is coated with a material which stores electrical charges and uses electro-conductivity to sense your touch. It then sends precise vertical and horizontal location information about the charge that gets drawn at the point of contact to a processor.

The Prada phone, unlike Apple's iPhone, has a number of offscreen controls and buttons. For example, on the front of the device is the call control and back keys, on the right edge are a lock key and a multi-function camera and music key while on the left edge are the volume control, headset/charger port and the ring profiles key.

The phone features an auto-focus, 2 mega-pixel camera that has a lens crafted by Germany's Schneider-Kreuznach (which is known for its high level of optics quality). The camera offers a range from 320 x 240 pixels to a resolution of 1600 x 1200 pixels. It includes three quality modes, four colour effects, a self-timer, a choice of shutter sounds, a multi-shot mode and a self-timer. Video clips can also be shot with various resolutionchoices (including 400 x 240-pixel widescreen).

You can stream audio to a pair of compatible Bluetooth headphones using the Bluetooth version 2.0 wireless connectivity which includes profiles for communication headset, A2DP Bluetooth advanced audio profile and data transfer. The Prada phone also comes equipped with document viewers for the most widely recognized file formats, including text files, PDFs and microsoft office documents -Powerpoint(.ppt), Excel(.xls) and Word (.doc).

The Prada phone weighs 50% less than the Apple iPhone. It has an amazingly small body which measures 3.9× 2.1×0.5 inches. The candybar is so elegant; its design resembles a high-definition television. A black casing surrounds the back and on the front towards the screen with gently rounded corners. The Prada phone has a 3-inch (diagonal length) touchscreen which has a resolution of 240×400 pixels. You'll be able to interact with a display that has 256K colours. A stark black Prada theme appears on the phone when not in use. While in use glowing icons appear in a Flash-based user interface. The phone has three pre-loaded themes- for example the Butterfly and Fish themes which actually place a creature on the screen that will follow your finger around. The screensaver (standby) mode features a clock which can be dragged around the screen and is operated with finger taps.
